Topographical Surveys
 We provide a service for detailed topographical surveys, to accurately record boundaries, slopes, trees and canopies, and other features, all to Ordnance Survey datum, together with engineering information relating to on-site drainage and other similar details. The surveys are intended for both Architectural and Engineering use and are provided in CAD format to appropriate scale.
Traffic Impact Analysis
 We carry out Traffic Impact Assessments of junctions, traffic signals and roundabouts, to meet the requirements of the Planning Authority. The investigations take the form of an assessment of any existing traffic information, obtaining traffic counts, assignment of new traffic movements and assessment of junctions, followed by specification of any improvements.
| Flood Risk Assessments
 The Firm regularly carries out assessments in relation to Planning Policy Statement PPS25 "Development and Flood Risk" and has conducted extensive negotiations with the Environment Agency, Internal Drainage Boards and Land Drainage Authorities to provide appropriate reports with recommended mitigation measures to satisfy these requirements. We have also successfully represented Clients at Planning Appeals in relation to flood issues.
Highway & Drainage Viability
 Many developers, before wishing to commit to purchase a site, need to be assured that the site can be accessed and drained satisfactorily without excessive abnormal cost. We are adept at consulting with Water Companies and preparing indicative assessments of likely discharge rates for surface water, and any attenuation requirements for viability purposes. We can also negotiate with Highway Authorities regarding potential access problems.
Desk Studies
 The Company is often required to prepare desk study reports incorporating Contamination Risk Assessments, which can be used to obtain planning approvals for a variety of developments. These include assessments of geological and mining aspects, site history from archive maps, environmental issues, hydrogeology and hydrology, landfills and gas migration, radon protection requirements, and indicative flood risk. | Transport Statements
 We can provide statements on transport sustainability to obtain approval of Planning Applications for specific developments. All forms of transport are considered and addressed in the reports.
Noise Impact Surveys
 We can provide reports and recommendations for noise impact surveys where necessary, using qualified and experienced personnel, and negotiate with relevant Local Authorities to identify abnormal costs for noise protection solutions. |
