Saw Wood Barns

Saw Wood Barns, Thorner, Leeds Saw Wood Barns is a high end residential project for Oakdale Estates.

It involves the conversion of existing barns and stables into four luxury 3-4 bedroom properties, with views across the surrounding countryside. Each property features a contemporary 'pod' within the central courtyard space, housing the hall and stairwell and maximising the living space within the existing buildings.

The internal layouts were designed to take advantage of the stunning views across open countryside, with principal rooms featuring sliding /folding doors to the substantial private garden areas. The project was also designed to be as sustainable as possible, with the use of highly insulated timber frame for the extensions, maximum use of natural light throughout and high levels of insulation to the existing building envelopes. The development was completed in late Summer 2012.
